Do I need a visa to go to Panama?
No, a 6 months validity passport is enough for most countries.

Do I need vaccinations?
You might need the yellow fever’s vaccination before entering the country. This will depends on the country from which you come from. Please check this link for the list of the countries that requires the vaccination (green table):

Is Panama a dangerous country?
Not at all! Panama is the safest country in Latin America as it has been under US protection for almost 90 years. Panama City is no more dangerous than any other European or US large city. Your common sense prevails!

Is it difficult to get money there?
Panama is the 5th largest International Banking Center in the world and ALL types of payments are accepted. The currency is the U.S. DOLLAR, locally called the "Balboa". There are numerous ATMs in the city and throughout the country. No facilities, however, in the San Blas.

For guests in Panama, we have a hot line. The "Welcome in Panama" package offers you airport pickup and arrange it all for you in the country. The "Panama City tour package" offers you a guided visit of Panama and the Canal Locks.

What extra should I bring?
Lots of sun protection and little presents for Indian children, such as pens, balloons, etc… (Avoid candies plse) If you own your personal snorkeling gear, or spear gun DO bring it, even though we carry some aboard: you know yours will fit you perfectly. Do not forget $1 bills in case you want to buy local handicraft or extra lobsters.

What is included aboard in San Blas?
All except personal expenses, tips or extra meals of lobsters and crabs. Please read our general conditions in detail.

What about tipping?
There is No obligation of tipping but, unless you are not satisfied with the service, you could leave an average of 5% of the charter to crew: they would really appreciate.

What about accident insurance?
You must carry yours (generally credit card's are enough) or accept our partner's (Ancon insurance) which is just a $5/day/person extra. Plse read page 2 and 3 of the conditions.

How to get to Panama?

From Northern America:
Direct flights from major cities of the East coast and Los Angeles (CA) with Continental, Delta, Copa, AA, etc…). Miami is a 3 hour flight. From Canada: a direct flight in high season or a stop in USA.

From Europe:
Flights with transit in Atlanta, Miami or NYC (Us airliners, Air France or Iberia) best via Caracas, Bogotá or San Jose CR (Air France, Iberia, etc…).

From South America:
Copa airlines and major airliners from most of the capitals.

Rest of the world:
Please check with your local travel agency.
