Guna Crew: Sustainable Development and Responsible Tourism
Members of the Guna community play a key role in the service on board our boats. They share not only their navigational skills and intimate knowledge of San Blas waters, but also valuable insights into their culture and way of life. They guide visitors through the natural wonders of the archipelago while telling stories and legends that are part of their living heritage.
From welcoming passengers to preparing traditional meals, their presence is an integral part of the sailing experience. Guna hospitality is known for its generosity and welcome, and this is reflected in every aspect of our onboard services.
As a responsible company, we are committed to providing quality onboard service, while respecting and valuing Guna traditions. We believe that every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between travelers and this indigenous community, and to promote respectful and sustainable tourism in the San Blas archipelago, with a strong emphasis on preserving and respecting the indigenous Gunas culture.
Experiences such as visits to inhabited islands, the purchase of traditional handicrafts or the discovery of local cuisine, allow travelers to experience an authentic and respectful exchange. This helps to promote Guna know-how and ethically support local initiatives.
